Black And White Sands (1961)

Various shots of Grenada in the West Indies; the coastline, harbour and white sandy beaches with palm trees and clear sea - beautiful! M/S of two women, one West Indian, one Caucasian, in swimsuits, floating in the water. L/S of a stretch of land on the island; the beach on one side of the strip is golden, the other side is a grey-black colour. M/Ss on this beach, as we see a young girl (possibly Gay Ashwood) walking along and stirring the black sand with her foot. She walks across the stretch of land to the other beach running parallel, and over the golden sand to the sea. Note: print used for telecine transfer is quite scratched; mute neg is incomplete. On file are some leaflets about Grenada - ’Bright Little Isle of Fun!’ Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
