Boy’s Traction Engine (1956)

Billingshurst, Sussex. M/S of a boy mending bicycle watched by two other boys. Camera pans as they walk away to stand in front of a traction engine. Eleven year old Michael Lugg, boy who was mending the bicycle, starts inspecting and cleaning the tractor. This impressive ten ton steam Burell traction engine was given to Michael as present by his father. Michael learned to drive when he was 7 but will have to wait until he is 21 years old to get his licence.
