Balloon Man (1956)

C/Us of David Cecil blowing up a long thin balloon at his home in Golders Green, London. He twists and ties the balloon as the commentator tells us he “is a professional balloon modeller and in show business he’s better known as ’Windy Blow’“. M/S as we see Windy sitting on a sofa with three small children who all have a go at balloon modelling too - “Uncle Windy is never short of eager pupils“ says commentator. C/Us of a little girl, Sarah, as her balloon springs back to it’s normal shape; Windy encouraging her; Sarah is then seen twisting the balloon into another shape. Commentator tells us “The balloons are all blown up to a certain size, depending on the room temperature - a knack Windy learned while developing his one lung in hospital after losing the other at the Anzio beach-head“ - blimey! C/U of Windy making a balloon sausage-dog or dachshund. C/U of Windy’s nephew Ian struggling to make a shape with his balloon; he looks a bit downhearted until Windy takes over and turns the tangled ballo
