Plumb - National Champion & World’s record holder - first home in 50 mins 33 secs.“ Regents Park, London. A large number of speed walkers lined up for the start of the race. They are wearing sports clothes. They walk off. Shots of them walking around the Park at high speed. This is the Highgate Harriers 7 mile open walk. 237 walkers are taking part. Among those taking part are T W Green (possibly Tommy Green) - the Olympic Champion, A E Plumb - the national champion, C W Hyde - the Middlesex Champion, A C Bletchin - the Surrey Champion, P McGaffey (Sp?) - the Irish Champion.
