Sand Artist (1964)

Weymouth, Dorset. Fred Darrington uses sand to mould copies of masterpieces. Various shots of the seaside at Weymouth with children riding on donkeys and making sandcastles. We see several shots of Fred’s hands moulding the sand and spraying it with water, he is in a little enclosure and has an audience watching. He is being assisted by Alan Cameron. Various C/Us as he uses a tool to sculpt the sand into shape, he is working on a model of Michelangelo’s ’Pieta’. Various shots as he works on it and people throw coins for him.
