Fishing Festival (1961)

Westmann Isles, Iceland. Various shots of anglers setting off in fishing boats for some deep-fishing as part of the second International Festival of Iceland. The boats move out from the Fridarhofn Harbour and move out to sea; people on board prepare their rods. Several shots of the people fishing / angling; large fish being hoisted from the water. The boats move back into the harbour; large fish are unloaded before a large crowd. Huge fish are weighed and hung on pegs (looks rather uncomfortable to me, even if you are a dead fish). Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV. IT’S FULL OF GREAT DOCUMENTARIES, FASCINATING INTERVIEWS, AND CLASSIC MOVIES.
