Full title reads: “Portsmouth. ’As it was in Nelson’s Day!’ Royal Marines of 1805, Trafalgar Year, change the guard with the Marines of today. Striking feature of Navy Week.“ Portsmouth, Hampshire. A group of Royal Marines dressed in the uniforms they would have worn in 1805 perform the ceremony of changing the guard with Marines in modern day uniform. In the background is a Royal Naval warship. As they march off the HMS Victory is visible in dock. An old fashioned sentry is placed on guard over Nelson’s flagship.
