In The Footsteps Of Sherlock Holmes (1968)

Various places in Switzerland. Members of Sherlock Holmes society of London arrive to Switzerland to recreate Holmes’ adventures at their ’original’ setting. They arrive in costume and start their journey at Chateau de Lucens, now home of Adrian Conan Doyle, the son of Holmes’ creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes and Watson are seen chasing Moriarty across the country: Swiss Alps, towns, snow covered hills... Holmes and Moriarty die in staged waterfall fight at Reichenbach Falls, location that matches description in the book. Holmes unveils a memorial at the foot of the falls. In Lucerne Holmes’ party attend flag waving, in Davos, a vintage car rally. There society honours Sir Conan Doyle as the first Englishman to cross Alpine Pass in Davos on skies. But the story of the two never ends. Holmes and Watson are finally seen chasing Moriarty on foot across Alps. Holmes is being played by London barrister Anthony Howlett.
