Full title reads: “France. ’She was a wine grower’s daughter ...’ so - after baptismal service in the Church of the Madeleine, Paris - father, mother & all guests, in old-fashioned costumes of the Province - had their own traditional ceremony.“ Paris, France. C/U of man and woman holding baby daughter up to the camera. They are dressed in traditional costumes of the Province. C/U man smoking a pipe and wearing a hat with grapes on it. Grapes are handed out to members of the group gathered for the baptism service. A violinist plays a traditional tune. L/S of the group gathered on the steps of the Church of the Madeleine. C/U of elderly woman and man in their costume. (The woman’s costume has a lacy head dress that stands up.) The camera pans across to show more people similarly dressed.
