Full title reads: “Toronto, Canada. Swimming for £2,000. prize. Margaret Revoir - swimming for first time as a professional - wins ten miles Marathon swim, 32 started.“ Toronto, Canada. A group of women swimmers prepare to compete in a long distance swimming race in Lake Ontario. It is so cold that they are all covered in grease. They pose for a photograph. The swimmers dive into the Lake. Various shots as they swim over the 10 mile course. The voiceover comments - ’And they call women the weaker sex.’ Shots of Margaret Revoir from Philadelphia, the eventual winner, as she takes her last lap. She comes in to the side and climbs out.
