Full title reads: “Basutoland. To sleep with his Forefathers - on summit of Mount Thaba Bosigo - royal funeral of 70 year-old Basuto Chief, Makhaola Lerotholi.“ Basutoland, Southern Africa. High angle long shot of people crossing large plain. There are a couple of motor vehicles but most people are on foot. More and more people gather at the place where the funeral lorry has stopped. There are several people on horseback. The coffin, draped in a flag, is carried up the side of the mountain to the traditional burial ground. Many people are walking with the coffin. Women of the tribe, wearing traditional costume, walk in ranks. C/U the coffin being borne by men. It is now clear that the flag is a Union Jack. African man in western dress sits at the grave side.
