Full title reads: “St. Helier. The Riviera Rivalled. Brilliant sunshine adds to the splendour of Jersey’s famous annual battle of flowers.“ St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. Little children in fancy dress walk with decorated floats / prams etc. as part of the Battle of the Flowers display. Larger flower covered floats go around the display ground. People in the crowd throw flowers at some floats and the people on the floats throw them back. The flower throwing increases - this is why the parade is known as a Battle of Flowers.
