Shaftesbury, Dorset. At Ferne Animal Sanctuary stray cats are made welcome. M/S 2 women followed by cats . They place food in bowls for them. C/U shots of cats feeding (84 of them). Two women check the cats, one of them is superintendent Mollie Atherton. She notes down any irregularities. They also keep dogs. M/S new dogs on leads. Some dogs in background kept in cages. One is let out for exercise. M/S 3 assistants who exercise the dogs. More shots of the assistants Margaret Barrett and Anne Wigger who open kennel doors and let some dogs run in. Pick up some puppies and hold the lovely doggies up to the camera. Mollie Atherton walks to gate and horse comes over to greet her. She feeds white horse with some bread.
