Full title reads: “Brooklands. Women ’Speed Queens’ Miss Peggy Naismith in a Salmson wins ’Ladies Handicap’ at mph.“ Brooklands, Surrey. Cars arrive at the Brooklands race track, Elsie Wisdom in No. 1 Leyland-Thomas. Crowds of people are also arriving. Racing cars pushed towards the track by mechanics. Sitting in the driving seats are women racing drivers. (One wears a real Penelope Pitstop style hat). Shots of two racing cars speeding around the banked Brooklands track. Car No. 10 is driven back into the pits. The driver gives a short interview to the newsreel - she says that the wind held down their speed.
