Full title reads: “Darlington to Southampton. The World’s largest lorry - carrying ’Berengaria’s’ giant 53-ton rudder, now repaired - makes strange spectacle on the Great North Road. Pan along large articulated lorry, a Scammell 100-ton Tractor (Marston Road Services) which is carrying a large metal ship’s rudder. It is parked in the street and people are looking at the cargo. High angle shot of lorry towing rudder. Back view of lorry. A man is standing on a running board at the back. A sign on the lorry reads: “You are behind the World’s Largest Lorry - Please Drive Carefully.“ The lorry turns a corner, the man on the back appears to be steering the rear wheels. The vehicle carries on its journey, a few children are walking alongside as the lorry is moving fairly slowly. (It is not clear where on its long journey the footage was shot). * Beta copy may not contain whole film - check. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
