Precision Models (1959)

Steyning, West Sussex. C/U shots of the blue prints, or scale drawings, of a model car, evidently an Alfa Romeo. Dividers come into shot, followed by the wooden body of a model car, which is measured. Hands work on the model with a small knife. M/S Rex Hays at work, as he compares the model with the plans, and fixes the wooden body to the metal chassis. The models are 1/20 the of actual size . C/U shot of a Vauxhall model, and wheels being fixed to a new model, a Ferrari. There follows various shots of Rex looking at a table top covered with models and he picks up a Carracholas Mercedes, puts it down with a row of others. Pan shot along line of models,showing the change in tail formation, a red 1906 Renault, a red 1907 Fiat, a white 1908 Mercedes, blue 1913 Peugeot, a white 1914 Mercedes, a white 1921 Deusenberg, and a red 1954 Maserati.
