Cowboy City (1966)

Hammersmith, London and Malton, Yorkshire. Various shots of a horse-drawn western stagecoach being driven by cowboys through Hammersmith; it seems to be part of some unexplained publicity stunt. At Flamingo Park in Malton we see C/U of a sign reading ’Boothill Cemetry’ [sic]; a man in cowboy costume adds another gravestone to the cemetery. Several shots show a western-style town in the theme park called Cowboy City. Numerous visitors sit and watch a shoot-out show put on by the ’locals’. The children watching are enlisted by the Sheriff to help capture the baddies; they catch the outlaws and take them off to the jail. Note: on file are notes on the theme park and people seen. Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID:383.1 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV. IT’S FULL OF GREAT DOCUMENTARIES, FASCINATING INTERVIEWS, AND CLASSIC MOVIES.
