In fact, their music was SO good that I had it in mind that they were a couple of Berlin-based Germans! To my surprise both hail from the Los Angeles area and had been responsible for the development of the underground techno scene for decades there; and influencing the rest of us globally with their unique style. And on those long weekly chats we became friends, bonding over our love of all things techno and well beyond. It was a strange time and way to bond, but those weekly group therapy discussions are some of my most treasured life memories.
