Here is the following day from the previous video (my overnight in the shed with Lenny), plus one more days work from the week after.
For the sake of time, I stick to my original technique for marking and cutting the birds mouths, and with a tweak here and there I made them work the best I could. I realize that they don’t need to be perfect!
I really wanted to practice the many different techniques that people had suggested, and share my thoughts on them, but I just don’t have the time for that on this build. There were a couple that I really want to try out - so maybe on the next build! Thank you again for all the support and help 💝
Most of the rafters are now installed and I am feeling relieved and over the hump. Hoisting those cedar beam rafters went pretty well I think (thank goodness I made them out of dry cedar!).
