This is a count to 10 and brain breaks song all in one. Children sing and count to 10 with me in auditory pattern, and then sing and count to 10 five times, but as five different fun characters. They pretend with me to be a soldier, an opera singer, a monster, a cowboy/ cowgirl and a baby. I try to make this count to 10 song even more fun in this video by dressing up as all five different characters. Children follow me pretending to be the characters and count to 10 as they use their own creativity to move and act like the characters too. They visually see all the numbers 1 to 10 as we all sing together so this helps your children identify and remember the numerical symbols for counting 1 to 10. When I sing this song “live“ in concert all the children simply love it! All the smiles and laughter from teachers and parents show they love it too. This count to 10 song will soon be a favorite to do during brain breaks or as part of your regular basic math curriculum on counting and numbers. I always love performing it too. I wrote it in 2010, but still love singing it to children just as much today.
