I made this country days of the week song simple and sweet with a wonderful group of children singing with me. The days start with Sunday and go thru Saturday. It has a catchy melody that will help children remember the days of the week order and sequence. I also wanted this song to be helpful for children and teachers to identify the current calendar day. I purposely left a blank for the day of the week so children can sing out the correct day. This song also gives a fun outlook on the day to encourage a happy feeling and positive atmosphere each day in the classroom or at home. Children can start learning the days of the week in preschool and then continue their learning this calendar skill in kindergarten.
