Billy Cobham (feat. Tommy Bolin) - Spectrum (full album) 1973

Spectrum is the debut album by fusion drummer Billy Cobham, released in 1973 and regarded as one of the most important albums for drummers and for the jazz fusion genre. The album contains many influences from Miles Davis and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, artists Cobham had previously collaborated with. Generally this album is regarded as one of Cobham’s best, and plays as important a role as those of Miles Davis, Weather Report, or the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the development of the jazz fusion genre. Tommy Bolin, who will join the hard rock band Deep Purple two years later, plays lead guitar. The song Stratus is featured on the Grand Theft Auto IV video game’s Fusion FM radio station, which was sampled on Massive Attack’s hit Safe from Harm. 00:00 Quadrant 4 04:19 Searching for the right door - Spectrum 10:53 Anxiety - Taurian matador 15:39 Stratus 25:25 To the women in my life - Le lis 29:37 Snoopy’s search - Red Baron Billy Cobham - drums, percussion, pr
