Hamas has announced that it has signed a deal with other Palestinian factions including rivals Fatah to work together for “national unity.” Beijing which brokered the agreement said that the deal paves way for post-war governance in Gaza. Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said that the deal lays the groundwork for an “interim national reconciliation government” to rule post-war Gaza. Wang Yi hosted senior Hamas official Musa Abu Marzuk, Fatah envoy Mahmud al-Aloul and emissaries from 12 other Palestinian groups.
