Ash or Alder?

I took my 1980 Strat (serial number #S944796 - I got it new at the start of 1981) and swapped out the old and very heavy ash body for a Warmoth alder body. Does it make any difference to the sound? The pickups in this video are the original pickups, which are now up for sale separately on as I’ve swapped them out for EMG SAV’s. Spotify Apple
