Palestinian foreign minister urges extension of truce to prevent further deaths.

“Any Israeli attack, instead of killing one child, will kill two.” On Monday, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Maliki emphasised the need to extend the current truce in the Israel-Palestine war, to prevent additional loss of life in the Gaza Strip. During a press conference in Barcelona with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares, al-Maliki said that the amount of people who would be killed would double if fighting resumed. Hours before the initial four-day truce was set to expire, a spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it would be extended by two more days.
