The Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index 2020

The Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index highlights the vulnerability of governments to industry influence. Released by STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products), a tobacco industry watchdog, the Index outlines how the industry has taken advantage of governments, to further its own interests. Bypassing health departments, for example, allowed tobacco companies to secure tax breaks and influence policy decisions, helping them sell more products that kill millions of people every year.    The key to ending #TobaccoIndustryInterference lies in the hands of policymakers across the globe.
