Landscape Painting plein air - Stratford Upon Avon

I was back in my hometown of Stratford Upon Avon in Warwickshire and thought I would do some landscape painting en plein air. I had my painting gear and the weather was cold but dry. Too good an opportunity to miss! The location I chose, was where I often used to play and walk the dog when I was a kid. It had changed since my last visit due to building works so I had to change the view I wanted to paint. Instead of painting the view towards Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried, I looked towards Welcombe Hills which is a popular walking area. It was great fun to be out painting plein air where I grew up. Some of my plein air sketches from 1992 feature in a previous video.
