LIVE: UAE’s orbiter set to reach Mars marking Arab world’s first mission to the planet

Credit to UAE Space Agency The United Arab Emirate’s orbiter “Al-Amal“ or “Hope“ is set to reach Mars on Tuesday, February 9 marking the Arab world’s first mission to the red planet. After entering Mars’ orbit, the unmanned spacecraft will start circling the equator, allowing to build a detailed picture of the planet every nine days, including spots on the surface at every time of the day.
