In July, 2012, Japanese pianist-composer Nobuyuki Tsujii was invited by Maestro Valery Gergiev to perform at the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia. On July 8, Mr. Tsujii gave a rousing performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Maestro Gergiev and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, followed by a solo recital in the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall on July 10.
