Chile protests: Demonstrations in Santiago continue despite promises to reduce inequality

Despite a cabinet reshuffle, promises of measures to reduce inequality and President Sebastian Pinera announcing the cancellation of the APEC and COP 25 summits, protesters continued to take to the streets of Chile’s capital in mass demonstrations on Nov. 8. Protesters are calling for a march in the capital’s richest neighbourhoods, taking the protest away from downtown and bringing it directly to Chile’s wealthiest. For more info, please go to
