Little about the film I got asked to make a fan film for the Lucas Films Showcase at Buffer Festival 2014. If it wasn’t for that I would of never of touched anything Star Wars. Not because I don’t love it but because I love it so much. I feel like I can’t do it proper justice. I have never been more stressed in my life making this film. I tried my hardest to make the best Star Wars film I could make in a month & a half. I spent every bit of my savings raiding Home Depot to build the cockpit, costumes, and to get props made.
Last night we premiered it. I wanted so bad for everything to be perfect but that isn’t the way of the world. Something happened to where it would only play starting at the middle of the film. No matter how hard they tried it wouldn’t play front he beginning. Not sure what happened but it happened and it’s a thing where you can take it in stride or get angry.
Crap happens and it did hurt a little to see it play for the middle and not the beginning. As a filmmaker it’s your worst nightmare to have that happen. However you can’t dwell in what has happen if you do it will consume you. Instead seek out the positives!
I mean I got ask to be apart of Buffer Festival! The Scarlet Lance is going to be played a few more times! I got to share a stage with Corey Vidal and Wheezy Waiter, two guys who love Star Wars as much if not more than I do. I’m getting to experience Toronto and meet so many of you! And the fact I get to experience it all with two of my best friends Jake and Coty has been a blast and it’s only day 1.
So many positives! Can’t thank Corey and Buffer Festival enough for letting me be apart of their festival. :)
