He uses the VST plugin Ozone 8 Equalizer. What is Mid/Side Processing? Instead of seperating a sound into a stereo typical left and right channel, the sound signal is divided into a mid and side channel. The Mid channel contains all sounds that appear in both the left and right channels, so everything that is mono. The ‘Side’ channel contains all the information that differs between the left and right channels. With the help of mid/side processing, these two signals can be equeded completely separately
