Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia Don’t Sign Switzerland Accord, Russia Says ’Will Get Worse For Ukraine’

84 of the nearly 100 participants at the Ukraine peace conference in Switzerland agreed on a final declaration on June 16. Key players including India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates opted out of signing the final communique. The communique reiterated that Ukraine’s “territorial integrity” should be respected in any peace deal to end the war. The signatory countries backed a call for a full exchange of captured soldiers and the return of deported Ukrainian children.
