S. Korea, U.S., Japan stage trilateral air drill involving U.S. B-52H strategic bomber

한미일, 제주 동남방서 美전략폭격기 참여 공중 훈련 Following the North’s missile launch, South Korea, the U.S. and Japan conducted a trilateral air drill, involving the United States’ B-52H strategic bomber. Seoul’s Defense Ministry on Tuesday said, this year’s first trilateral air drill, took place over waters southeast of Jeju Island. The training was designed to improve deterrence and response capabilities against North Korea’s evolving nuclear and missile threats. Seoul’s F-15K fighters and Tokyo’s F-2s also participated in the training.
