Beijing’s foreign ministry announced Tuesday that Zhao Leji, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party’s Politburo, will visit Pyongyang from April 11th to 13th. It said he will attend the opening ceremony of the “China-North Korea Friendship Year,“ marking 75 years of their diplomatic ties. North Korea’s state media also said Tuesday that a Chinese delegation led by Zhao will be visiting Pyongyang, without any further details.
