Model of the William Rex - Rijksmuseum

wood, brass, iron, glass, rope, textile and paint, h 410cm × l 452cm × w 205cm Catalogue entry This model shows the appearance of a Dutch warship in the late 17th century. It was made at the dockyards of Vlissingen (Flushing), where real warships were also built. These would have been more than twelve times larger than this model. This ship has 74 guns. The model was displayed in the council chamber of the Admiralty of Zeeland in Middelburg.
