Video Game Animation: Locomotion in AC 4, Transition from Idle to Sprint

These transitions look more natural than the walk/idle transitions in the context of beginning and ending user input. There is less unbelievable foot stutter stepping here, as momentum appears to be preserved. The player pushes forward to sprint, releases the thumbstick. The avatar does not stutter mid animation clip but transitions into a stop animation. Also shown is some turning while sprinting.
