Numa, On est Somewhere - Running Up That Hill (Cover)

Certainly I don’t have to introduce this track since it reached already the status of a legend! Creating a cover is a highly sensitive matter, because you don’t want to blemish the original work under any circumstances. So I wanted to create my very own interpretation of this song. And who could have been a better singer and music video producer than Ali Mus (the singer of one of my first songs “La Vie On La Fume“)? The talented artist from La Réunion Island is going to perform under her new artist identity “On est Somewehre“ from now on. This project was originally developed as part of an university project. My goal was to keep the aesthetic elements of the 80s, like the huge drumset, but at the same time I wanted to give the track some modern elements, like the synth arpeggiator which carries the whole song.
