Olesya Rostovskaya - Murmuration Dennis James - glass armonica Lydia Kavina - theremin This piece was inspired by a suggestion that Clara Rockmore gave to Dennis James after his glass armonica debut in New York in 1991. Dennis also studied the theremin with Clara. She told him that for her, the ultimate instrumental duo would be the alluring combination of Theremin plus Glass Armonica. After 30 years, Dennis mentioned this story in the online workshop with Lydia Kavina and Olesya Rostovskaya, and Olesya immediately wrote the piece. The recording is the result of a distant collaboration from Corning, NY / Oxford, England / Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia.
