this guitar uses a scale consisting of 8-15 of the harmonic series. it can also be described as follows: 1/1 - tonic 9/8 - major second 5/4 - just major third 11/8 - quartertone between perfect fourth and raised fourth 3/2 - perfect fifth 13/8 - neutral sixth 7/4 - harmonic minor seventh 15/8 - major seventh the open strings of the guitar are tuned to 2,3,4,5,6,7 of the harmonic series. more info at
