Sri Chinmoy Dreamer of Peace Statue and Garden of Harmony Inauguration | Izhevsk, 2023

Inauguration of the Sri Chinmoy “Dreamer of Peace“ Statue and the Garden of Harmony installation at Cosmonauts Park in Izhevsk, Russia, on October 7, 2023. Cosmonauts Park holds the distinction of being the second-largest park in Izhevsk. Operating under municipal jurisdiction, the approval to install a non-traditional statue, in this instance, that of an Indian Spiritual Master, serves as a testament to the spiritual ethos, openness to other cultures, and forward-thinking leadership embodied by the park administration. The Statue was installed on the park’s existing “Nations Friendship Alley“, as it symbolizes the uniqueness of each nation, benevolence, tolerance, acceptance and unity. The Garden of Harmony, inaugurated at the same time as the Statue, was established through the efforts of the World Harmony Run organizers, in collaboration with local authorities, to foster global unity.
