Galleons were powerful, slow ships of destruction, used in trade and war. These ships had a tall stern for forecastles. This allowed the crew to fire down or sweep the deck of enemy ships. And even fire down on their own deck if boarded. This ship had four masts. The first two were rigged with square sails and the third and fourth masts had lateen sails.
