Yesterday, the 16. June, in the center of Rostov-on-Don, prisoners took two workers of a pre-trial detention center hostage. Public reports write that six defendants knocked out the window bars in their cell and entered the duty room. Three of the participants in the attack - Gireev, Tsitskiev and Akiev - were convicted in December 2023 for participation in ISIS and preparing an attack on the Supreme Court of Karachay-Cherkessia. The hostage takers were liquidated during the assault by Speznas. The pre-trial detention center employees taken hostage were released and were not injured. Source: Russian Head
