Her father is in Ukrainian captivity; he is being tortured by militants, and they are sending her a video of the torture, demanding she give up the passport details of her friends and the location of the Russian military. The ECHR became interested in the case of captive Denis Reznikov after Russian war correspondents told this story to Italian human rights activists. While the human rights court is considering the documents, Reznikov’s relatives hope that he is still alive and will soon return home.
