Animation of the asteroid Apophis approaching Earth on April 13, 2029

Animation of the asteroid Apophis approaching Earth on April 13, 2029. Blue dots indicate satellites, lilac line indicates the ISS orbit. Apophis will pass from the Earth at a distance of only 1/10 of the distance to the Moon. The size of the stone is estimated from 270 to 340 meters. Previously, astronomers quite highly assessed the likelihood of Apophis colliding with the Earth, but after more accurate calculations and clarification of the asteroid’s orbit, it became clear that a collision would not occur.
