Subscribe ►► Gigi Hadid’s impersonation of Melania Trump at the 2016 American Music Awards was certainly a little awkward, and maybe even a little cringeworthy, but was it offensive? Some seemed to think so, prompting the 21-year-old supermodel to issue a handwritten apology on Twitter. Gigi’s Melania impression was a joke about the future first lady’s controversial Republican National Convention speech, which many believe was a direct rip-off of current First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech. Hadid’s co-host Jay Pharoah quickly came to Gigi’s defense, blaming Melania Trump, basically stating that there would be no controversy to joke about if Mrs. Trump hadn’t blatantly plagiarized Mrs. Obama. What do you think about the controversy? Did Gigi and the AMAs go too far, or was it just harmless fun? Discuss your thoughts in the comments be
