Midnight Moment October 2014: Ryoji Ikeda’s ’test pattern [times square]’ Sound Experience

Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda’s film test pattern was reimagined for the Times Square billboards in October 2014. From 11:57pm to midnight each night of the month, digital screens were taken over by tightly synchronized, flickering black-and-white imagery mining data for mathematical beauty as part of Midnight Moment, a monthly presentation by The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts.
