University of East London – Where you’ll learn

The University of East London is based in three superbly equipped campuses – two in Stratford and one in Docklands, close to Royal Albert Dock. One of them, the super-modern University Square Stratford, opened in September 2013. It cost £33 million to build in a unique partnership with Birkbeck, University of London and is the base for 3,400 students. Our other Stratford campus is our most historic, dating back to 1892. It boasts impressive facilities, including a new £14 million library and learning centre, laboratories and computer rooms. At our Docklands campus you’ll find extensive, modern facilities in a stunning waterfront setting. It’s also the location of our student accommodation. At the University of East London, you couldn’t be better connected by public transport. All three campuses have nearby rail links that will speed you to central London in a matter of minutes at a cost of a few pounds. One of the world’s greatest capital cities awaits you. And if you fancy venturing further afield, London City Airport is just walking distance from our Docklands campus. Our fantastic location in the heart of east London puts you within easy reach of many private companies, public-sector organisations and charities that can offer work placements and internships. The influx into the area of billions of pounds in investment means work experience opportunities are certain to increase.
