The 3D Texture Tool allows you to create complex textures in 2 simple steps. The older way to accomplish this was to create the planes, sketches, and features that would give you a certain type of shape. You would then use a pattern to complete the texture over the surface. But this feature eliminates redundant steps. You now have even greater control and customization with tools like Texture Refinement, Texture Offset Distance, and Maximum Element Size.
