Japan by Bike | Visiting the Japanese Water Village | Cycling the World We meet up With Tim & Hakan, two old buddies cycling, camping and enjoying Japan. We take a closed route together and are in for spectacular scenery and some very bad roads. Lake Biwa is just around the corner and Tim asks us if we would like to join and visit Harie: “The Village of Living Water”, where giant carp help with the dishes and special springwater takes 200 years to filter down from the nearby mountains. We learn all the ins and outs and leave with a profound insight how people still live close to nature in the modern world.
